Dear Friends of Freshwater,

 

Thank you for your interest in helping to provide clean water to the people of Malawi. Even the smallest donation can make a big difference.

 

Freshwater Project relies on the kind support of its donor partners. We have been funded by individuals and organizations around the world (please see donor page for details). We welcome the opportunity to work with you and your organization in implementing a project that will provide clean water to the people who need it most. You can make a significant difference in the lives of the communities with any donation, small or large.

 

 

Freshwater Project is a completely transparent organization and we are happy to provide you with a summary of our audited financial reports.

 

SAMPLE PROJECTS:

Comprehensive water and sanitation project including a borehole well, two pit latrines and community development:   $5000. (US)

 

Rehabilitation of broken well and community training:  $1500. (US)

 

Community Based Management (CBM) 5-day practical training: $500. (US)

 

School pit latrines and hand-washing training for school children: $$750. (US)

 

A tank of gas to get field workers to the villages: $50 (US)

 

PHYSICAL/OPERATIONAL NEEDS OF FRESHWATER:

Freshwater Project has been operating on very modest budgets of under $50,000 US for the last several years – and this is with a staff of 20 employees. To continue the work effectively, and avoid delays due to breakdown of equipment or vehicles we are accepting full donations or partial contributions for any of the following items:

 

New Drill Rig with 22 Bar Compressor!: $200,000 US

 

While this is a costly item, we’ve experienced countless delays because of repairs on our old drill rig which is 22 years old. Since it is the backbone of our work, it is essential for Freshwater to get a new rig.

 

4x4 Pick-up Trucks: $30,000 US

 

Off-road Motorcycles: $10,000 US

 

Computers, printers: $1500 US/each

FOR INDIVIDUAL DONATIONS IN THE US:

You may send donations to our non-profit 501c3 partner, African Reflections, a non-profit based in Albany NY with the mission of helping the people of Africa. All donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law. 

 

Please include your information including name, address, email in a letter stating that the donation is for Freshwater Project Malawi. Receipts will be mailed promptly for your records.
